Richard Moore - President
Richard is a second generation owner and the president of M. M. Moore Construction. A little more than fifteen years ago, Richard came into the business on a "trial basis" to determine if the business (and working with his father!) was a good fit for him. Well, he has never looked back. More than anything, Richard enjoys watching a design become a walkable, breathable outdoor living space.
Richard's professional career began in the corporate world of print graphics with Alphagraphics and in management with Moore North America (now RR Donnelly.) In that line of business, attention to detail is everything and that skill set has served him well at M. M. Moore. Only now theres a third dimension to pay attention to!
Richard was born and raised in the Dallas area and lives in Carrollton with his wife, Beth, and daughter Lily. They are everything to him and he works hard to keep that in balance. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with friends from church and out at his family cabin in the mountains of Colorado.
Marshall Moore - Founder
Marshall founded the firm in 1979 and still holds the position of Chairman of the Board. Marshall's passion for design that pushes the limits of what is possible has earned him the privilege of creating some of the finest gardens in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
When his son entered the business on a "trial basis" some fifteen years ago, Marshall never imagined Richard would fall in love with the business like he did.
When he is not popping in the office to stir things up and discuss a new design idea, you will find him with his wife, Kay, at their cabin in the mountains of Colorado.
Ryan Johnson - Design Lead
Ryan leads the design team here at M. M. Moore and has been with us for almost a decade now. Ryan enjoys creating solutions that make outside spaces more inviting and as livable as the ones inside the home. He believes this is best accomplished by collaborating with the people who will actually use the space.
Before coming to M. M. Moore, Ryan lived in the world of professional golf as a PGA course superintendent. Ryan earned his BS in horticulture with an emphasis on turf grasses from Texas Tech University and his Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Ryan was born in Louisiana but got here as fast as he could. He lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife Tiffany, and two children. When Ryan isn't designing gardens for us, you will find him bow hunting in West Texas or at a Guns-n-Roses concert, even if the closest show is in Seattle!
Jim Lindaman- Construction Superintendent
Jim is the guy that you will see most often on one of our job sites. As our construction superintendent, Jim is responsible for ensuring that our subcontractors have what they need to complete their work on schedule and according to spec. He is a little cranky at times but thats the way we like him.
Jim has been with M. M. Moore for more than ten years and associated with us for another thirty years as one of our most valuable contractors tying steel in all of our pools. Ryan Johnson says that Jim is the most reliable person he has ever met. We agree.
When Jim is not causing trouble around the office, you can find him with his wife of thirty-six years. Together they have four children and a whole parcel of grandchildren. Jim is an avid sports fan and spent many years officiating high school football. He enjoys casino games and can still advise you on how many points you should give to anyone playing the Cowboys.
Maury Mayton - Garden Division Manager
Maury is responsible for leading our garden management division and is much loved by our clients for his knowledge of horticulture, attention to detail and huge personality. Maury earned his BS in ornamental horticulture and landscape design from the University of Tennessee and still bleeds orange. He is a Master Certified Nurseryman and a licensed irrigator.
Prior to joining our team, Maury worked for various design firms and nurseries before operating his own firm for several years.
When Maury is not causing trouble around here, he still enjoys gardening at home, reading and talking about why Tennessee did or did not win a football game.
Rick Baker - Director of Business Development
Rick leads marketing and sales efforts here at M. M. Moore. Although he is relatively new to the construction business, as a kid he worked (shoveling rock mostly) for his father who owned a landscape design firm in El Paso.
Prior to M. M. Moore, Rick was a digital marketing consultant with Imaginuity Interactive and Ivie & Associates.
Rick lives in Dallas with his wife of almost twenty years and his three kids. He enjoys spending time with his family, travel to the family cabin in Colorado and movies when he can break away.
Daniel Vaught - Landscape Designer
Daniel is the newest edition to the design team here at M. M. Moore and although he tends to be stuck in the office doing CAD work, he loves to get out in the field. Prior to M. M. Moore, Daniel worked with the Elements Group in Austin designing and implementing landscapes.
Daniel earned his BS in landscape architecture from Texas Tech University and we were fortunate enough to scoop him up soon after graduation.
Daniel is a Texas native via Waco. When he is not slaving over a computer for us, you will find Daniel creating original splatter paint art, gardening or playing with his dog.
Teala Carr - Supply Logistics
Teala has been with M. M. Moore for more than six years now and is why many things get done around here. She does everything from picking out the best plants to driving a fork lift. If you need a shoulder to cry on, Teala is your girl.
Prior to M. M. Moore, Teala was in a similar role with Malzahn Landscaping, a garden maintenance company we purchased three years ago. Before that, she was with Soil Building Systems.
When Teala is not supplying our guys with high quality materials, she is hanging out with her family. Oh, and she plays a mean game of chess if you're up for the challenge.
Faviola Lagunez - General Administration
In addition to being the one who keeps things running around here, Faviola provides human resource support and is the person you will most likely speak to if you call the office.
Faviola studied business administration at Dallas Christian College and seems to always be learning something new. Prior to joining the company, Faviola was a registrar and financial aid director for many years.
When Faviola is not chasing down time cards and sending invoices, she is all about her family and that includes her two dogs, a Lab and a Jack Russel.
